As Managing Director for APAC, Daniel has been a driving force behind Neurones IT Asia’s growth and success since 2019. Beyond his technical expertise and business acumen, he brings a genuine passion for people and culture, shaping a team as diverse as the region they serve. We sat down with Daniel to learn more about the person behind the leadership title—from his daily habits to the experiences that inspire him.

You started your journey with Neurones IT Asia back in 2015 as a Technical Solutions Manager. What drew you to the company then—and what has kept you here nearly a decade later?

What drew me to Neurones IT Asia back in 2015, and what has kept me here is simple: this company sees people, not numbers. Here, you’re trusted to shape your role, define your own perimeter, and bring your best self forward. That freedom sparks ideas, it creates flexibility, and it allows us to deliver real value to our customers in ways that matter. It’s not just about doing a job; it’s about building something with purpose, together.

What's one core value or mindset you try to instill in your team, regardless of their role or level?

Failure is not the end. Everyone stumbles, everyone falls. What defines you is not the mistake, but what you choose to take from it. The most important thing is to learn, to rise, and to come back stronger. That’s how we grow, that’s how we lead, and that’s how we keep moving forward.

What new leadership skills or approaches do you believe will become essential for tech leaders in APAC over the next few years?

The next generation of tech leaders in APAC won’t succeed by being the smartest person in the room. They’ll succeed by listening. By pulling together the ideas of their teams, shaping them, and aligning everyone toward one direction. Because ten brains working together will always outthink one. Leadership is no longer about command; it’s about connection, collaboration, and turning collective intelligence into real progress.

In a team where people speak different first languages, how do you make sure no one feels left out—and that the NITA DNA still comes through clearly?

In a team where people speak different first languages, the key is balance. We make English our common ground in the open space; so no one feels left out, everyone has a voice. But at the same time, we honor what makes us different. We celebrate Christmas, we celebrate Diwali, and many more. Because our DNA at NITA isn’t just about working together, it’s about growing stronger through the richness of every culture we bring to the table.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy week?

For me, it’s all about a healthy mind in a healthy body. After a busy week, I lace up and go for a long run, an hour, sometimes two. It keeps my body strong, but it also clears my head, resets my nervous system. And beyond that, I love to try new things. Stepping into something different refreshes my mind, gives me new perspectives, and often brings back fresh ideas I can carry into my work. It’s not just recovery, it’s renewal.
